A Precious Child is devoted to making a positive impact in the lives of disadvantaged and displaced children and families in Colorado by improving their quality of life. We provide basic essentials to children in need to empower them to succeed in school. Essentials include: clothing, coats, shoes, sports equipment, backpacks, school supplies, and toiletries.
Boulder County CCAP helps eligible low-income residents pay for child care while they are working, searching for employment, or going to school. CCAP offers crucial supports for parents and caregivers who are unable to afford child care for their children up to 12 years old, and children up to 19 years old with disabilities. Income and activity requirements apply.
Boulder County Healthy Kids and Adults: enrolls students and individuals in free or low-cost healthcare and other services; provides application assistance at easily accessible locations such as, schools and public libraries; connects families to local health care providers and specialists; and links families to local community resources.

The Family Learning Center is an inclusive community where children and families of all races and cultures, and from all walks of life, are welcomed. By offering educational opportunities to the entire family, we create families who value education, self-reliance, and community service.
For more than 30 years, Children’s Alley has served as Boulder County’s only temporary, drop-in childcare center. We offer a safe, affordable, and flexible environment designed with age-appropriate activities that foster the learning and social development of each child. We serve children ages six weeks to 12 years old and offer extended hours including evenings and Saturdays. Fees are based on a sliding scale, depending on family income, and C-CAP funds happily accepted.
We offer free private and semi-private algebra, geometry, calculus and physics tutoring for high school students. Our tutors have experience as physicists and engineers. Hours: Monday-Thursday, 5:00-6:30. Contact: Kate Merrell.
For students in grades 3-12, trained and caring volunteer tutors offer free homework help in most subjects. Most of our tutors have worked here for 5-10 years. Many parents report that their children’s grades and self-esteem improved after receiving help at the Homework Center. Some tutors are bilingual/Spanish. Hours: Monday-Thursday, 3:00-6:30.
