Boulder County CCAP helps eligible low-income residents pay for child care while they are working, searching for employment, or going to school. CCAP offers crucial supports for parents and caregivers who are unable to afford child care for their children up to 12 years old, and children up to 19 years old with disabilities. Did you know that 90% of your child’s brain is developed by age 5? Early childhood education matters. BVSD preschools offer an age-appropriate, play-based education facilitated by licensed, experienced educators—almost all who hold advanced degrees. Preschools are located in 17 elementary schools across Boulder, Broomfield, Lafayette, Louisville, Nederland and at the Mapleton Early Childhood Center. We offer half-day sessions Tues through Fri, and full-day Mon through Fri at Mapleton.
The Kindergarten Enrichment Program is a complement to BVSD’s half-day Kindergarten class. It provides a fun, creative program which includes a lunch and recess period. The programming is specifically designed for 5-6 year-olds. We emphasize: social skills and positive friendships, creativity, problem solving skills, self-confidence and a love of learning. The program uses a play-based, developmentally appropriate curriculum.
The Speech, Language, and Hearing Clinic (SLHC) at the University of Colorado Boulder offers audiological, speech, and language services to children and adults in the Boulder and Denver Metropolitan area. These services are provided as part of on-site training of students who are studying to be speech, language, and hearing professionals. All services are supervised by clinically-certified, professional speech-language pathologists or audiologists.

The Family Learning Center is an inclusive community where children and families of all races and cultures, and from all walks of life, are welcomed. We believe that family and community offer the best support system for healthy social, academic, civic, and ethical development. By offering educational opportunities to the entire family, we create families who value education, self-reliance, and community service.
The Y is a nonprofit organization that strengthens community through programs that focus on youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. Our offerings include three fitness centers, swim lessons, summer day camps and a residential camp, youth sports, hockey and ice skating, teen enrichment and academic support and other community programs. We also provide before-school, after-school and school-day-off care at 14 BVSD schools.
For more than 30 years, Children’s Alley has served as Boulder County’s only temporary, drop-in childcare center. We offer a safe, affordable, and flexible environment designed with age-appropriate activities that foster the learning and social development of each child. We serve children ages six weeks to 12 years old and offer extended hours including evenings and Saturdays. Fees are based on a sliding scale, depending on family income, and C-CAP funds happily accepted.
